Private Medical Insurance for Osteopathy

Which Health Insurance Covers Osteopathy

The majority of health insurance providers cover Osteopathy. At Wellthy Clinic we are recognised with WPA, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna, Simplyhealth and Healthshield.

Are Osteopath Doctors covered by Insurance

Yes but it depends on your policy, it is always best to check with your provider first before booking a treatment session.

Can I claim on my private medical insurance?

Yes Osteopathy is recognised through many insurance companies. At Wellthy Clinic we are registered with many insurance providers and with our governing body (General Osteopathic Council) which is a legal and insurance requirement.

Do any of the companies have limits

Yes it depends on your policy and how many sessions or monetary amount you are annually entitled towards claiming reimbursement.

Does Wellthy Clinic invoice the Insurance Companies directly or do I have to contact them ?

At Wellthy Clinic we just invoice WPA & Vitality directly. All other insurance companies you would purchase your session, forward your treatment receipt and claim back directly with your insurance company.

How many Sessions can I Claim for ?

It depends on your policy and your plan, it can vary from 4-30 sessions depending on your policy. It might be after your allocation your health insurance provider will ask the practitioner to produce a treatment report in order to release more sessions. We would be willing to do this providing we feel this is necessary to continue with treatment.

Do they have to live within a certain area to be able to have treatment with you?

No we don’t believe there are any geographical restrictions so if your workplace is close to New Cavendish Street in Marylebone that could be more convenient for you.

Health Insurance for Nutritional Therapist

Which Health Insurance Covers Nutritional therapy?

WPA and CIGNA cover Nutritional therapy providing they are registered with BANT.

What does the insurance cover, is it down to specific conditions ?

Following a conversation with WPA and CIGNA they have suggested they will cover sessions that address a client’s digestive issues like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). They may also cover other conditions which could be addressed through nutritional therapy but this depends on your individual policy.
